April 9 Maundy Thursday John 13:1-17, 31b-35
Thoughts for Lent:
Know that the Lord is God. It is God who made us and we are His, we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Psalm 100:3
Present your bodies as a living sacrifice to God. Romans 12:1
Thank God for the gift of Life.
Are there people in your life of whom you need to ask forgiveness? Pray for God’s blessings on them. Forgive a grievance you may have with someone; take some action to resolve it.
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Romans 12:16
Do something special for a person on our care list. Call a long-time friend for a chat and share great memories—offer to help with a chore.
May my cry come before you, O Lord; give me understanding according to your Word. May my lips overflow with praise; for you teach me your decrees. Psalm 119
Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things. Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music. Make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing. Psalm 98:4
On this holy day, keep my thoughts focused on you, O God. Amen.
