Something else I didn’t learn in seminary…How to Baptize!

(I know you all want to know what we do here on a Friday, so here you go…I’m desperately trying to convince Paul that we should always keep the baptistry full so we can go swimming on Fridays. He said no.)

This week at Calvary, we are excited to participate in the Baptism of Fredy Tejada. Pastor Edgar is doing the actual baptism, but I’ll be in the water too. We fill up the baptistry earlier in the week so it can be a comfortable temperature, so I thought we should take advantage of it!

I didn’t take the class in seminary where everyone baptized each other (just for practice, of course) so I somehow convinced Calvary’s Church Administrator Paul Rosstead to bring his bathing suit to work so I could practice baptisms with him. Paul is about 6’4″ so I figured if I could baptize Paul, then I could baptize anyone. Paul is also a saint (we all know this already, but here’s another reason why). Below are the photos documenting my practice…thanks Eric for taking the pictures!

This pretty much sums up our relationship.

woud recommend either wearing a tee over a swimsuit if you have white robes or not wearing a swimsuit only that one shows thorough quite obviously though white oer white works and hides anything under the second layer………..
